Data protection information for online appointments scheduling

Purpose of data processing

You need to register with and log into the services offered by our partner samedi® in order to use the benefits of the online scheduling system. This means that you leave the Asklepios website and are automatically redirected to the samedi®- portal, where you will be guided through the stages of login. samedi® is an extremely secure page with so-called "OAuth" authentication. For you, this means that your data is always in safe hands. You use the samedi® account to manage all of your appointments with us.

Processing of the data is based on Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR (declaration of consent).

Recipients of your data or recipient categories

• Internal agents involved in the execution of the process of online appointment scheduling
• The external contractor samedi® according to Art. 28 GDPR (contract processing or use of personal data).
• There are no plans to transfer your data to third countries.

Statutory deadlines for erasure of data

The data will remain stored for as long as the registration is active. If you cancel your user account with samedi – which is possible at any time – the corresponding user profile and all data stored will be completely and irretrievably erased from the platform. Information (such as appointments or messages) that you have sent to a customer (for instance physicians) will remain in the customer's mailbox, as the information has been transferred to the ownership of the customer.

Rights

You have the right to information, rectification, restriction of processing, erasure or portability (Art. 15–20 GDPR) in regard to the controller of the personal data stored about you.

You are entitled furthermore, without statement of reasons, to enforce your right of objection and to modify or completely withdraw your declaration of consent at any time, effective for the future. Data processing completed until such a date is unaffected. You may transfer your revocation to the competent person by post, by e-mail (samedi@asklepios.com ) or by fax. In doing so you will not incur any costs, apart from postage or the base rate communication costs.

You are also entitled to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority for data protection according to Art. 77 GDPR.
